The Caisson VI-D6 timber moisture meter offers a non-destructive method of accurately determining moisture content in wood and timber without using pins. This method of moisture determination is both quick and easy without any need to leave behind any damage, which is useful for wooden flooring. Using a pinless moisture meter is becoming the industry standard due to the ease of use over the older syle moisture meters using pins. All the user has to do is place the sensor on the VI-D6 against a surface and the meter will return a moisture reading.

With the Caisson VI-D6 pinless moisture meter, the sensors are positioned on the front side of the meter for easy access to tight spaces. The VI-D6 moisture meter measures material moisture in any various types of wood to a depth of around 20mm giving a moisture content in a cross sectional area of the material, rather than just surface moisture, typically measured by traditional moisture meters. Having a micro-processor controller makes the VI-D6 moisture meter accurate and fast, with a menu driven operating system, and an easy to read graphical LCD
