The SEW 4234ER is a multifunction ground resistance tester, capable of performing 2-pole, 3-pole and 4-pole ground resistance tests. The 4234ER is a microprocessor controlled, auto-ranging instrument, which makes it easy to use, cuting down the operators input and saving time. In addition, the SEW 4234ER can undertake soil resistivity tests utilising the 4-pole (Wenner) method, as well as the 3-pole fall of potential method and the 2-pole voltage method.
An automatic C-spike check, and P-spike check are utilised by the 4234ER to ensure coorect connections are made, and that current is flowing between the earth rods and high resistances are not encountered across the current and voltage spikes. Results are displayed on a alphanumeric LCD screen and up to 200 measurements can be saved in the memory and recalled on the display. The SEW 4234ER also allows the user to conduct a long time test, and intervals between auxiliary spikes can be defined between 1 metre and 50 metres.
The 4234ER is supplied as a comlete kit comprising of a hard carry case, a 15 metre long red test lead, two 10 metre long black and yellow test leads, and a 5 metre green test lead, four auxiliary earth rods, user manual and batteries.
